Yiğit is partner of the corporate & commercial team at Polat and Partners. He joined the firm in 2020 following more than 6 years of post-qualification experience as senior associate in the M&A, corporate, banking, finance and capital markets practice groups at reputable İstanbul-based Turkish law firm. Yiğit has extensive experience in corporate law, commercial law and sports law.
He specialises in advising high profile multinational and national companies on all corporate and commercial issues including but not limited to company/branch/liaison office establishments, formation of shareholding structures and corporate governance, evaluation of risk and compliance, liability of the members of the board of directors, liquidation, capital increase/decrease, manager appointment, adoption of internal directive for limited signature powers, ordinary and extraordinary general assemblies, board resolutions, amendments to articles of associations, preparation of signature circulars, conducting legal research and drafting reports, legal opinions, memos, following up legislations, representing companies before chamber of commerce and other relevant authorities.
He also has extensive experience in litigation, in particular involving corporate and commercial disputes and he followed various lawsuits of multinational companies before Turkish Courts.
